Audi Summer 2018 commercial - "Promote Yourself"
So .... nice, "feel good" commercial, right?
NEGATIVE!
Let me get this straight:
1. You quit your job (set aside the "how")
2. You want to start your own company
So the first thing you do is to buy/lease a brand new car??
C'mon .. are we inviting everyone to quit impetuously and fall immediately into debt?
From a "reality-check" perspective, this commercial is a farce. Obviously, the person had a good job (private office, respected and appreciated by her peers, etc.). So, after being recognized for a job well done, she decides to start her own firm (can tell by the fact that for the 1st time, she changes her "dream company" goal) and, of course, realizes that she needs a brand new, luxury vehicle RIGHT NOW.
I call BS:
1. Anyone who lists his/her goals on a piece of paper doesn't create a new goal and simultaneously quits to begin the journey. She's obviously smart enough to have thought over the new goal, created her new company (name, forms, etc.), identified an approach to acquire clients, etc.
2. Anyone that has a decent job and requires a vehicle would already have a car. Even if she didn't, she wouldn't be walking halfway across the city, but rather she'd Uber/Lyft it.
3. Lastly, in reality, this person wouldn't be dumping money into a car at a time when she'll need to invest in her new venture.
